Olympic hopeful Dwain Chambers has confirmed he will compete at the Great CityGames in Manchester on 20 May.
The British sprinter will race over 150m on a specially-constructed track in the city centre. Chambers will go up against compatriot Marlon Devonish, America's double world silver-medallist Walter Dix and Richard Thompson of Trinidad and Tobago.
The 34-year-old last week discovered he would be eligible to compete at this summer's Olympics in London.
The Manchester meeting will also see American Sanya Richards-Ross, one of the favourites for Olympic gold over 400m, compete over 200m against a field which includes Britain's 2007 world silver medallist Nicola Sanders.
Chambers served a two-year suspension after testing positive for the steroid THG in 2003 and under British Olympic Association (BOA) rules, he was subject to a lifetime Olympic ban.
But the sprinter is now eligible to compete after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) overturned the BOA's policy of lifetime bans for those who have served drugs bans, giving Chambers the chance to qualify for Team GB.
After returning to the track, Chambers has been the fastest Briton over 100m each year since 2008 and his fastest time of 9.97 seconds (set in 1999) is the second-fastest ever recorded by a Briton, behind Linford Christie.
The Great CityGames in Manchester will also feature the Great Manchester Run and be televised live on BBC2.
Usain Bolt also ran a 150m race down Deansgate in 2009 and five days after the Manchester event, Chambers will step up his bid for Olympic selection by facing the triple Olympic gold medallist in the Czech Republic.
