Joleon Lescott: Insists there is no animosity in the England squad
Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott insists there is no tension within the England squad about the inclusion of John Terry.
Chelsea captain Terry is facing a court
case later this year in relation to an allegation that he racially
abused QPR's Anton Ferdinand in a match earlier this season. Terry has
always denied the charge.
Ferdinand's brother Rio has been omitted from Roy Hodgson's England squad for Euro 2012 amid speculation that the new manager was under pressure to decide between him and Terry.
But Lescott claims there are no divisions in the squad and that England's players are united.
"Definitely not, there is no animosity in the squad," said the 29-year-old.
"We are all here for the same reason and that is to do well for England."

Not easy
Lescott did admit he was saddened by Ferdinand's exclusion but acknowledged it was a difficult decision for the England boss."He is a great player and has been a great one for England," added Lescott.
"He is probably one of the players I looked at most growing up. It's a shame he is not in the squad but it was the manager's decision.
"I don't think it was an easy choice to make picking his squad.
